On Tuesday 6th November, our Year 11 pupils enjoyed their first ever visit to the Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire. The site features the 3rd largest moving Radio Telescope in the world as well as lots of other attractions.

Our students took part in several workshops which were all relevant to their GCSE physics course. Physics teacher, Mr. Dickinson was impressed with the professional conduct of the students as well as their contribution to the sessions and lots of fun was had by all. Unfortunately, the infamous Professor Brian Cox wasn't available on the day but the staff at Jodrell Bank were excellent in their delivery of the sessions which were interesting and engaging.

Below is a picture of some of our students with the giant Radio Telescope behind them.
