Senior

Progression to the Senior Department brings many choices in subject areas and extra-curricular activities. Senior pupils continue to study English Language and Literature, Mathematics including Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, German, Geography, History, Religious Studies, Art and Design, Computer Science, Music and Physical Education, PSHCE & SRE and new additions Careers and School Parliament. The options at this stage are very flexible, allowing pupils to specialise in areas where their expertise is optimised but without inhibiting their ultimate choice of GCSE subjects.

Students in Years 7 and 8 also have the opportunity to gain a qualification from The English Speaking Board.

We aim to deliver a good all-round education, promoting educational excellence, emphasising traditional values, nurturing talents and assisting every individual to realise their potential.

This objective is achieved within a happy and motivating environment, governed by mutual respect and bound by a framework of sound principles which are well-understood by every pupil.

Pupils in Years 9, 10 & 11 are given the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme furthering their personal development. Pupils in Year 11 are encouraged to participate in a work experience programme.
