Welcome
Wakefield Independent School is a non-selective independent day school, part of the Nostell Priory Estate, situated in the heart of West Yorkshire.
We cater for children from 3 to16 years within our three school structure. The Rectory houses the foundation and infant years. Wragby, is the base for our junior school and Nostell is home to our seniors.
The primary characteristics of the school is a friendly, family and caring atmosphere. We cultivate a community spirit, which is vital to the well-being and character development of every pupil. Kindness and camaraderie are crucial parts of our promotion of the family environment.
The School is open nine hours per day:8.00 am to 5.00 pm. This includes Breakfast Club, which runs from 8.00 am and Prep, which runs from 3.15 pm.
The School Administration Office is open between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm.
